glad yall are back, have missed you on Twitter. Have had these realisations in my own life recently. My boomer parents have always worried about things out of their control. Their reaction to the pandemic was shocking to me. My father did not even touch his grandson until he was legally allowed to as per government regulations. Really affected me for a while.
Atlas shrugged is ridiculously long, but the message is pure. Your loyalty is to yourself, and your own happiness. If you can achieve that, you can affect the happiness of others more. Worry about others first and you will achieve less for both them and yourself
